About this course

BotF Analysis helps with immediate revenue realization by leveraging techniques traditionally used to reduce shopping cart abandonment rates in e-commerce websites. After completing this course, the learner will be able to

  • Define what a User Journey is, and what BotF Analysis means.
  • Identify the different parts of a User Journey - top, middle and bottom.
  • Understand the value of BotF Analysis as it applies to different personas - Software Engineers, Operations Engineers and Product Managers.
  • Implement the New Relic BotF Dashboard, and run custom queries in it.
  • Establish the current state of the bottom of the funnel, and define an improvement process that’s data-driven.
  • Align value drivers with each core principle of the New Relic Observability Maturity model.

 

Overview

The course is divided into three sections:

  1. Understanding BotF Analysis - provides a conceptual understanding of Observability Maturity, how BotF Analysis integrates with it, what the “funnel” actually means, the middle of the funnel, and KPIs pertaining to BotF Analysis.
  2. BotF Analysis Hands-on - provides a step-by-step guide to using the tools required for BotF Analysis, measuring current state by implementing the BotF Dashboard, and coming up with an improvement process, using a simulated application.
  3. Value Realization and Course Recap - highlights best practices, how BotF Analysis produces value, and provides resources for further information, a summary of takeaways from this course, and action items.

Prerequisites

In terms of New Relic Dashboards, familiarity with New Relic’s synthetic monitoring, browser monitoring, UI views and SPA data in the browser monitoring UI is recommended.
